Who? Beauty pageant winner with controversial views on gay marriage.

Carrie Prejean won the Miss California USA 2009 pageant, then finished second at the Miss USA pageant.

During the question-and-answer segment of the televised Miss USA pageant, judge Perez Hilton asked Prejean her views on gay marriage. Prejean famously responded, “Well I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. You know what, in my country, in my family, I do believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman.” This set off a wave of criticism from gay marriage supporters. Perez Hilton called Prejean a “dumb bitch” on his blog. Conservatives meanwhile rallied to her cause.

Real? Yes, the tape apparently exist, but it hasn’t circulated publicly yet.

On November 4, 2009, TMZ reported that there’s a real Carrie Prejean sex tape floating around. In fact, TMZ claimed to have had a copy for “months”.

Carrie Prejean demanded more than a million dollars during her settlement negotiations with Miss California USA Pageant officials — that is, until the lawyer for the Pageant showed Carrie an XXX home video of her handiwork.

The video the lawyer showed Carrie is extremely graphic and has never been released publicly. We know that, because TMZ obtained the video months ago but decided not to post it because it was so racy. Let’s just say, Carrie has a promising solo career.

“Handiwork” and “solo career” hint at a masturbation video.

So many questions. If the tape has circulated for months, how did its very existence remain a secret til now? And what are the chances this video will leak online sometime soon?

Blogger Nik Richie of The Dirty went after Prejean with a vengeance. His site first posted old racy modeling shots of Prejean, some with her nipples exposed. Prejean initially denied the photos were real, then claimed there was only one, then claimed she was 17 at the time, then admitted those were all lies, then claimed the photographer had tricked her.

Earlier Sex Tape Rumors

In early May, rumors of a Carrie Prejean sex tape started swirling. Some sites claimed that Nik Richie claimed to have acquired such a tape. The main source seems to be an angry post at Drudge-wannabe But As For Me, excerpted here at Free Republic, entitled “Fraud: thedirty.com Says Video of Prejean Coming but the Site Has a History of Hyping Slanderous Material That Never Materialized”. The teaser at Free Republic reads, “The site thedirty.com now ‘claims’ they have an exclusive video tape of Miss Carrie Prejean doing an explicit act on video. He claims he is waiting for clearance from legal because his site is not pornographic.” But As For Me has since removed the full article.

However, I can’t find any posts at The Dirty where Richie says this. None of the sites that attribute this claim to Richie link to a specific post where Richie says this. One commenter at The Dirty joked, “We have seen this same cycle before, oh no! someone leaked my naughty pics!! b*tch prob realeased them herself, next thing her sex tape will get ‘stolen’.” That’s the only reference to a Carrie Prejean sex tape I can find anywhere at The Dirty. Maybe Richie made the sex tape claim then deleted the post, or maybe But As For Me invented the claim then deleted his own post.
