In February 2007, a British tabloid reported that Lloyd had enjoyed a “steamy romp” with a nightclub DJ in the club’s VIP changing room. The “marathon, two-hour sex session” was supposedly all captured on the club’s security cameras. The article claimed that Lloyd “fears a secret sex tape could ruin her”.
Danielle Lloyd denied that the changing room liaison ever happened, and she sued the tabloid. In May 2007, the tabloid retracted the article and officially apologized to Lloyd.

In September 2008, rumors swirled that an ex-boyfriend had filmed Danielle Lloyd during sex on his cellphone without her knowledge. The ex was now reportedly shopping the cellphone footage to the highest bidder.
