Who? Two former lovers of Anna Nicole Smith
Real? Probably not.
Howard K. Stern was Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer and later her husband. Larry Birkhead was an occasional Smith boyfriend. After Anna Nicole’s death, the two men fought over custody of her daughter Dannielynn, until paternity tests eventually determined that Birkhead was the baby’s biological father.
In her 2007 book Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death, Rita Cosby claimed that Stern and Birkhead were gay lovers. According to the book, Smith and friend Jackie Hatten stumbled across Stern and Birkhead having sex once, and Smith liked to watch a Stern/Birkhead sex tape “over and over” in her Bahamas home.
Stern and Birkhead denied being gay lovers or making a sex tape, and both sued Cosby over the book’s allegations. Smith’s former nannies Quethlie Alexis and Nadine Alexie also denied telling Cosby about a sex tape. Cosby stood by her story. “I have not seen the videotape. But I will say that we have enough corroborating people who say that they have. We know people who clearly have been told there is a videotape that exists and have talked to people who have seen the videotape.”
In August 2009, a judge ruled that Howard K Stern’s libel suit can move forward. This is priceless: “Cosby argued Stern wasn’t defamed because sex tapes are commonly made by celebrities, and do not expose them to contempt. [Judge] Chin rejected that argument ‘as absurd.’”
