Joey Buttafuoco Sex Tape

Who? Auto mechanic, tabloid scandal figure.

Real? Yes.

In the early 90s, auto body shop owner Joey Buttafuoco had a torrid affair with high school girl Amy Fisher, who famously shot Buttafuoco’s wife Mary Jo in the face. Fisher served seven years in prison, while he did six months for sex with an underage girl. Since then Buttafuoco has cashed in on his notoriety with public appearances, reality show gigs and small movie roles.

In January 2008, video distribution company Red Light District announced that it would release a Joey Buttafuoco sex tape under the title Joey Buttafuoco: Caught on Tape. Red Light District claimed to have acquired the footage from porn director Rob Spallone (sometimes spelled Spalone) without Buttafuoco’s knowledge, consent or participation.

Shortly after Buttafuoco was released from jail, he and his wife Evanka were caught on tape having sex while attending a party at Spalone’s home. Buttafuoco served three months for violating his probation and at the time of Spalone’s party he had been on probation since pleading guilty to insurance fraud in 2004. During Buttafuoco’s probation, officers found a box of bullets in his home and in January 2007 he was sent to Los Angeles County Jail.

Joseph says that Buttafuoco’s went into a bedroom during Spalone’s party to talk and have sex but didn’t know that Spalone had three hidden cameras hoping to catch late night action from many of the adult entertainers at the party.

“Spalone didn’t know that he had captured Joey and Evanka until a couple of weeks later when he completed reviewing the footage from the party,” says Joseph. “He was so surprised to find Joey and Evanka on the tapes. When he realized what he had, he came to Red Light District to discuss distribution. He knows we are the best in town to work with on these types of deals.”

Red Light District released the Joey and Evanka sex tape soon afterwards on DVD and online.

Buttafuoco expressed his outrage to the tabloids.

“I’m [bleep]ing furious, this guy was supposed to be my [bleep]ing friend?!” Buttafuoco fumed to The Post’s David K. Li. “My wife, she didn’t deserve this! My kids, whether they’re estranged from me or not, they didn’t deserve this.” Spallone admits he secretly shot it and sold it. “Should I have done it? Yeah, I’m going to make a lot of money off it,” Spallone nonchalantly told Li. “He could sue me if he wants, but I’m going to make so much money, I don’t care.”

ICSTDB is skeptical of the “spontaneous romp caught on surveillance camera” story. The camera setups, lighting and editing look way too slick and professional. Contrary to the “three hidden cameras in the bedroom” claim in the press release, there are at least ten different camera setups, some placed much closer to the action than a hidden camera could plausibly be. The visual quality is crisp and clear, the lighting bright and even. This is not hidden camera footage, this is a professionally produced porn video made with the full knowledge of the performers.

Of course, “Joey Buttafuoco and his wife do porn” is not nearly as catchy a story as “Joey Buttafuoco and his wife accidentally caught on hidden camera having sex”. The real story would not have generated nearly so much free publicity from tabloids and blogs.

My biggest disappointment: the Joey Buttafuoco sex tape lacks any actual buttfucking. The closest we get is Joey receiving a little finger-in-the-ass action during fellatio.
