Jordan Capri Honeymoon Sex Tape

Who? American porn star.

Real? The tape exists and circulates. It was originally hyped as a private sex tape that was stolen and leaked to the internet, but most now believe it was a staged professional porn video.

Jordan Capri was one of the top internet pornstars from 2002 to 2006. Her solo site was part of the Lightspeed network, which features cute, cheerful, college-age girls in relatively softcore content (masturbation and light girl-girl scenes, but little if any boy-girl sex).

In late 2005, Jordan Capri announced her retirement from internet porn. On her personal MySpace blog, she badmouthed the porn biz, claiming that she had been “duped into signing a contract” and “completely taken advantage of” and “locked into affiliation with a completely negative, evil industry”. Network owner Steve Lightspeed responded on an industry message board:

The “negativity” she is speaking of was, unfortunately, ME. I got mad at her for missing photo shoots, being late, and telling the other girls that they weren’t as popular as her and how they didn’t make as much money as her. Yep, I got pissed off. That’s called being the boss. Jordan made more money in 18 months than she will probably make again in the next 10 years. Cry not for “poor little Jordan”.

Jump ahead eleven months. Rumors spread through the adult webmaster and porn fan communities about . . . a Jordan Capri sex tape! Apparently she had gotten married and made a sex tape with her husband on their honeymoon, which was subsequently stolen and posted to the internet. Oh! My! God!

Steve Lightspeed’s first responses on industry message boards:

I just woke up, and I can’t reach Jordan to find out what this is about. It is her, and I am NOT FUCKING HAPPY. Please stop reposting the link. There is no way this video will see the light of day. Sorry guys, I know you all want to see it, but Jordan is my friend and I will do whatever I have to do to protect her. I’m going to sue the fuck out of anyone that has anything to do with this.

To those who think this looks like a marketing stunt, all I can say is that I don’t need anyone’s money badly enough to hurt a friend. I guess I overestimate other people’s ethics.

However, screenshots and clips from the Jordan Capri honeymoon sex tape soon started to appear on her official Lightspeed porn site — a little in October, a little more in November, a little more in December, finally the whole 11½-minute video in January. Lightspeed also included the full honeymoon tape on the DVD Jordan Capri, Volume 3.

There are two possible stories behind this tape. (1) The “stolen and leaked honeymoon tape” story was true, and Mr. Lightspeed and Ms. Capri decided after the fact, “it’s on the internet, it will be on the internet forever, we might as well control it and reap the profits ourselves.” (2) The “stolen and leaked honeymoon tape” story was a ruse, calculated to generate maximum publicity for Jordan Capri’s one-and-only hardcore porn shoot.
