Real? No, just a false rumor.
Vanessa Hudgens got her big break playing the role of Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical films produced by Disney. She has also released two moderately successful pop music CDs.
In September 2007, some racy cellphone photos taken by Hudgens in her bedroom, including one fully nude photo, leaked to the internet. She had apparently taken the photos to send to boyfriend Zac Efron. There was speculation Disney might drop her from High School Musical 3, but after several abject “apologies to her fans”, Hudgens kept her role.
In February 2008, new rumors about a Vanessa Hudgens sex tape started swirling. The alleged 45-second cellphone clip was said to show Hudgens sitting beneath a Christmas tree wearing only a red thong and Santa Claus hat. She supposedly coos, “I want Santa to come up my chimney because I’ve been a good little girl this year.” Then Zac Efron enters the frame, they start to make out, the end.
This was clearly a fake rumor, but it spread wildly through tabloids and blogs. Needless to say, no such tape ever circulated.
The best comment came from The Superficial: “Okay, yeah, this is totally fake. I don’t for one second believe Zac Efron became aroused at the sight of Vanessa Hudgen in just a thong and Santa hat.”
In August 2009, more racy photos of Vanessa Hudgens self-shot on her cellphone leaked to the internet, including a couple body shots in which she is wearing nothing but gold spangly panties.
