Sam Jones III played Pete Ross on the first three seasons of Smallville. In 2010 he was sentenced to one year in prison for drug trafficking.
In September 2010, Karissa accused Spencer Pratt of stealing a sex tape from her home. A few days later, Vivid president Steve Hirsch acquired a sex tape starring Karissa Shannon and Sam Jones III from a “reputable third party”. That sounds like the same tape Spencer Pratt allegedly stole, but cmon, Spencer Pratt reputable? Karissa Shannon fired off a cease and desist letter to Vivid.
Hirsch kept the publicity train rolling by calling the Karissa Shannon + Sam Jones III sex tape “definitely the most extreme video that I’ve ever seen, as a celebrity tape. There’s everything you can imagine — whips, chains, handcuffs. It’s absolutely crazy.” A week later, Shannon and Jones signed off on the sex tape’s release.

Karissa Shannon Superstar hit stores on October 4, 2010, roughly one month after TMZ ran the “Spencer Pratt stole my sex tape!” story. Call me cynical, but I suspect that Shannon, Jones and Vivid struck a deal much earlier and that the series of September 2010 celeb gossip stories were part of a publicity buildup.
Spencer Pratt supposedly also possessed a girl-girl sex tape starring Heidi Montag (wife of Pratt) and Karissa Shannon. That video might exist, but it has never been released.
