Shauna Sand was Playboy‘s Playmate of the Month for May 1996. She was married to Lorenzo Lamas from 1996 to 2002. She has a handful of TV credits, including a recurring role in Lamas’s show Renegade.
In 2009, Lorenzo got a family reality show called Leave It to Lamas on E! in which ex-wife Shauna made a few appearances.
Also in 2009, Shauna Sand released a sex tape through Vivid entitled Shauna Sand Exposed. The DVD release came on November 4, 2009, smack in the middle of the 8-week first run of Leave It to Lamas. Kudos to Sand and Vivid for planning ahead.
Shauna Sand claimed that the video was a private home sex tape, which Vivid somehow acquired without her knowledge or participation. She even fired off a cease and desist letter to Vivid. However, the production values on the video were suspiciously professional. And she enthusiastically promoted the DVD release after dropping her supposed objections. It’s more likely that Sand signed a contract with Vivid to make the sex tape in exchange for a percentage of the profits.

After a week of gossip column speculation, the dude in the Shauna Sand sex tape was identified as Antoine Berlier. A few months later, Berlier threatened to sue Vivid, claiming he had been cheated out of his rightful cut. Vivid produced a signed release by Berlier. Berlier countered that he couldn’t read English and didn’t know what he was signing. Vivid then produced a video of Berlier verbally agreeing — in English — to make the video.
