The singer Nana had a big pop hit in the Arab world in 2006 called “Kelon Badon Nana” (“Everyone Wants Nana”). The suggestive lyrics and her sexy outfits made her unpopular among social conservatives in the region, but sex sells everywhere.
In 2008, a Nana sex tape leaked and circulated widely via cellphone and online.
The video shows a woman who resembles Nana having sex with an Arab man in a cramped wood-paneled bedroom. The adventurous sex tape moves from fellatio to cunnilingus to anal sex to post-intercourse female masturbation. She livens up the action with a stream of Arabic dirty talk, like (rough translation) “I am just dying for your cock, stick it in my ass” and “whose ass are you fucking? … the ass of the one you love?” A third person filmed the couple having sex, a woman in a blue dress who turned the camera on herself briefly at the end of the video.

Arab singer Nana sex tape
When the sex tape first leaked, Nana admitted being the woman in the video. However, she claimed that she had been unconscious during the filming; that her boyfriend, Khalil Karam, had made the sex tape without her consent or knowledge; and that Karam tried to blackmail her afterwards. The first part is untrue — the woman in the sex tape is clearly an awake, active participant throughout.
According to Fanoos, Lebanese authorities questioned the woman who shot the video. This unnamed hairdresser claimed that “Nana asked her to shoot the film for $200 earlier that day after she met her for the first time in a salon in Beirut.”
In 2011, Nana changed her story. She went on a Lebanese talk show and denied being the woman in the sex tape — it was actually Karam with two other women. Khalil Karam continues to insist, like the mystery hairdresser/camerawoman, that Nana masterminded the whole thing.
