Who? Lebanese TV host.
Real? There’s a video, but it’s not a “sex tape”.
Razan Moghrabi was a successful TV personality with shows in Lebanon and Egypt. In April 2011, a video was posted on YouTube showing Moghrabi telling friends a racy story. A huge scandal ensued, losing her some TV jobs, forcing her into hiding and reportedly driving her to a nervous breakdown.

In the three-minute video, Razan Moghrabi sits with her boyfriend Naji (bearded guy on the right) and two other friends. A cameraman films the action and joins in the discussion. Moghrabi first narrates an imaginary erotic movie plot: she joins a royal harem guarded by a handsome eunuch, but later sees him bathing and realizes he’s not a eunuch after all. Moghrabi then simulates rubbing a penis using candies (I think), makes a joke about Naji’s penis, then finally kneels between Naji’s legs and makes as if to pull his shorts down. Naji is holding a bottle of beer, and the cameraman yells “suck on the bottle now”; Moghrabi laughs but does not follow this suggestion.
Mideast media outlets denounced Moghrabi’s “provocative” and “indecent” behavior. An Egyptian TV network cancelled two of her shows. The scandal seems ridiculously overblown to ICSTDB’s cosmopolitan sensibilities. Embarrassing maybe, but not something that would destroy someone’s career.
Moghrabi tried to quell some of the outrage by claiming that she and Naji had secretly gotten married months before the video was shot. She also stood up to the puritanical overreaction, telling one interviewer, “Everyone in the video is close to me. They are my husband and relatives. Why shouldn’t I have fun with them?” In that interview she also denied rumors that she had suffered a nervous breakdown and been hospitalized in France.
How exactly did this video get to YouTube? Moghrabi told one magazine that the video clip had been stolen from her laptop. She also accused an unnamed rival female entertainer of leaking the video. ICSTDB can’t help but wonder about the cameraman. If the video was on his phone or camera, wouldn’t he be a likely suspect? Or some friend to whom he showed it or forwarded it? In any case, it’s apparently still a mystery who leaked it.
