Alex Reid Sex Tape

Who? British mixed martial arts fighter.

Real? The footage is real, but it’s not a “sex tape” by any reasonable definition.

Alex Reid was formerly best-known as a MMA cage fighter and occasional stunt man (he doubled for Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan). In July 2009 he started dating Katie Price (the F-cup model and reality TV megastar formerly known as “Jordan”), which overnight made him a tabloid celebrity and thus a target for silly “controversies”.

In August and September, the British tabloids made a big stink about Alex Reid starring in a film called Killer Bitch. Many media outlets inaccurately referred to Killer Bitch as a “porn movie”. In reality, it’s a run-of-the-mill hard-R erotic thriller with numerous sex scenes.

The brouhaha got even sillier when Price insisted that Reid kept his shorts while filming sex scenes. The tabloids then ran “vile”, “unsavoury” and “shocking” photos showing Reid naked on set.

Are we really supposed to be shocked in 2009 that actors sometimes get naked when shooting sex scenes for mainstream films? WTF? Here are the gotcha Alex Reid nude photos from People (I sure hope none of you are easily offended):

One tabloid (based in India) trumpeted new on-set footage and Price’s reaction with the headline, Jordan furious on seeing Alex Reid’s sex tape. Thus its inclusion in this celebrity sex tape guide.

This whole “controversy” is unbelievably stupid. There is no Alex Reid sex tape. He acted in fictional, simulated sex scenes for an R-rated movie.
