Amber Portwood has been a cast member on MTV’s reality show Teen Mom since its debut in late 2009.

In December 2010, between the second and third seasons of Teen Mom, a gossip webzine called Hollywood Life reported:

A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Teen Mom‘s Amber Portwood recently bragged that celebrity porn powerhouse Vivid Entertainment wants to give her $500,000 to star in an X-rated film.

According to an inside source, there have been ongoing discussions between Amber and Steven Hirsch, the co-chairman of Vivid.

Vivid is keeping mum about the rumor, issuing this statement: “We can’t comment on any discussions that we may or may not be having with Amber.”

One week later, Hollywood Life confirmed its own rumor:

HollywoodLife.com can exclusively confirm that Vivid Entertainment, the infamous porn powerhouse, is in official talks with Amber Portwood to star in her own adult movie! Upon speaking with Amber, Vivid Co-Chairman Steven Hirsch said, “We’d very much like to work with Amber and we will try to accommodate her any way we can.” … The deal with Vivid is estimated to be worth $500K.

Vivid has produced a number of “sex tapes” (really just one-off porn videos) featuring reality TV personalities and other fringey famous people — Brittney Jones, Karissa Shannon, Shauna Sand, Montana Fishburne, Erica Lynne, Tila Tequila — so an Amber Portwood sex tape would be right up Vivid’s alley.

As of December 2011, it would appear those talks went nowhere. MTV would probably veto an Amber Portwood porn video while Teen Mom is still on the air.
