Real? Yes, the tape circulated widely in Malaysia, and Chua Soi Lek admitted it was him on the tape.

Chua Soi Lek is a Malaysian politician and leading figure the Malaysian Chinese Association. He was the Malaysian Minister of Health from 2004 to 2008. In December 2007, video discs were distributed anonymously in select Malaysian cities. The discs showed Chua (age 60) and a young woman having sex in a hotel room, filmed secretly by hidden cameras.

On January 1, 2008, Chua Soi Lek admitted he was the man on the tape, and the following day he resigned his post. He called the woman on the tape a “personal friend” but didn’t identify her by name. The scandal does not seem to have hurt his political career too much, however. He is currently Deputy President of the Malaysian Chinese Association.

I haven’t seen this tape. There’s a three-minute excerpt on various video-sharing sites, with blurry and grainy snippets bizarrely set to the tune of “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)”. The Chua Soi Lek sex tape is not the most arousing celebrity vid around.
