In 2003, Colin Farrell made a home sex tape with his girlfriend Nicole Narain, who had been Playboy magazine’s Miss January 2002. In 2005, Narain tried to sell the tape to a porn distributor for $3 million. Farrell filed suit to block the tape being made public. In January 2006 the Colin Farrell sex tape leaked, and one website briefly sold downloads for $14.95. In April 2006, Farrell and Narain reached a settlement that barred any official distribution. But once a video has made it online, it’s pretty much out there for good.

Farrell later talked about the sex tape with Nicole Narain: “An expensive 14 minutes, that one. . . . It seemed like a good idea at the time. . . . The man in charge said I hope you’ve learned your lesson Mr Farrell and I said ‘absolutely, next time I’ll take the tape with me’.”
