On January 4, 2011, gossip blogger Zack Taylor ran an item entitled “An Alleged David Hasselhoff Sex Tape to be Released?!”

David Hasselhoff, who recently admitted to dating two women at once, may soon have to admit to his girlfriends that he has a sex tape coming out!!

An alleged sex tape screen-shot featuring what looks to be the 58-year-old former Baywatch star and an unknown female, has hit the Internet, sparking rumours that a full video may be released in the near future.

Zack Taylor has a long history of fabricating celebrity sex tape rumors in order to drive traffic to his site. And it always works. Not one of his rumors has ever panned out, but gullible bloggers and journalists keep repeating his stories.

The Hasselhoff item followed Taylor’s usual pattern. He claimed to have received a screenshot from an anonymous source which he can’t confirm. He posted a photo montage mixing a real photo of Hasselhoff with the alleged screenshot, in which the man’s face is conveniently blurry and obscured.

There was no David Hasselhoff sex tape rumor before this bogus blog post. And needless to say, the tape does not exist.
