Foxy Brown Sex Tape

Who? American rapper (nee Inga Fung Marchand; she took her rap name from the famous 1974 blaxploitation film).

Real? The “tape” circulates, though it contains only two alternating frames. It’s unknown whether it really shows Foxy Brown.

The so-called Foxy Brown sex tape started to circulate on hiphop news sites and message boards in September 2009. It’s not really much of a “tape”; it consists of two photos alternating quickly for 25 seconds. A more accurate title would be the Foxy Brown Sex Animated GIF.

The two photos show a black woman performing fellatio on an unseen man. It might be Foxy Brown or it might someone who looks sorta like Foxy Brown. Who knows.

A superimposed title on the tape calls Foxy Brown “Brooklyn’s Own Superhead”. The tape sometimes circulates under the title “Foxy Brown Superhead”. As far as I can tell, there’s no connection to Karrine “Superhead” Steffans in this scandal, the leaker just borrowed the epithet.

There have been rumors swirling about a Foxy Brown sex tape for a while. Rival rapper Maino dissed Foxy Brown in an interview in the March 2009 issue of XXL.

Can a sex tape actually help Foxy Brown’s career?
I don’t wanna watch it, but I think it’s coming. When a muthafucka got nothin’ else to do, that’s what happens. She’s gonna show the world all the yeast. [Laughs]

My best guess: it’s not Foxy Brown, just two photos from a porn shoot that someone turned into an animated GIF. Maybe someone got impatient waiting for a real Foxy Brown sex tape and decided to make one on the cheap.
